is covered with longitudinal ridges and tubercles.
Used for cooking, pickling, salads and a number of medicinal purposes ( e.g.
Reducing excess body heat, detox etc).
Growing Guide
Sowing : | Soak seeds for 24 hours. Select well drained soil and bury seeds around 2 - 3 cm deep; cover up seeds and firm down soil. |
Germinates in 10 - 14 days. Space 20 - 30 cm betweem plants. Set up trellis for plant to climb. Manure regularly. | |
Harvest: | 100 - 120 days before fruit turns yellow in colour. |
Growing temperature: | 25 - 35 Degress Celsius |
Hint | To avoid lower germination rate, please store the sealed packet in a cool, dark & dry pace and plant the seeds as soon as possible |
